This episode features Kevin Flike. Kevin is a Special Forces veteran, a recipient of the Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars, and an Army Commendation Medal with valor device.
We discuss what led him to enlisted the military in 2006 and the training he went through to become a Green Beret. Kevin talks about doing tours to the Philippines, Thailand, and two to Afghanistan.
Kevin shares about being wounded in a firefight with Taliban fighters. He shares about the struggles he faced during his recovery and the things that helped him including mediation, prayer, and getting off of pain medications.
Kevin went on to study and graduate with Masters from both Harvard and MIT and now works for Goldman Sachs.
