This episode features Jerry Wolf. He was in the Army Air Corps and served as a Flight Engineer in a B17 bomber in Europe during World War 2. This is the second part of my interview with Jerry. I recommend you listen to Episode 006 first.
Some of the topics we discuss: Jerry talks about being taken prisoner by the SS and being processed into the Prisoner of War camp Stalag Luft IV. Jerry talks about the different types of prison camps. He talks about the conditions of the camp, the food, how the prisoners entertained themselves, and his finding the will to survive. Jerry talks about his Hebrew Bibles and what the Nazi’s did with them. We talk about his liberation and coming back home. Finally, we talk about seeking help years after he came home and how he shares his experiences.
